A few years ago Ferrier Wire + Design Metals started working with an architect and engineering firm to see about the feasibility of using our black PVC meshes at conservation areas as railing infill panel material. Since that time we’ve supplied our black PVC 1” x 1” x 12.5 ga for a railing project in a Hamilton area park. We have also supplied our 2” x 2” x 12.5 ga for numerous projects across southern Ontario ranging from a Bronte area conservation to Ausible Bayfield Conservation Authority to the Niagara region. This material is a quality product made in Italy. The wire is galvanized and welded then dipped in a PVC coating. It is designed for outdoor use as well as marine use. We’ve also seen our black PVC ½” x ½” x 16 ga mesh be approved and used for playgrounds in a fast food chain across Canada. Please contact us for further information.

We had many inquiries from our clients for a smaller rectangular design weavemesh and we invested in this new pattern, Voliere SS Parihaba. This stainless steel (standard) product is available in 36” x 72” sheets and can be sheared to size. Many finishing options are available such as satin copper as shown. Ferrier Wire + Design Metals black PVC weldmesh was used in a residential development project in Milton, Ontario to prevent small animals from entering the catchment basin area. Our 1/2” x 1/2” x 16 ga was used for this application. We also stock1” x 1” x 12.5 ga and 2” x 2” x 12.5 ga and all of our black PVC weldmesh is manufactured in Italy. Black PVC is a durable welded product that lends itself to many outdoor usages due to its corrosion resistant properties. All of our black PVC weldmesh is GBW (galvanized before welding) product which is then dipped in PVC for a durable and weather/moisture resistant product. Our black PVC 2” x 2” x 12.5 ga is currently being used in multiple conservation areas across southern Ontario as wooden railing infill panel material. Other common applications include fencing, outdoor playgrounds, animal control, anti-climb mesh, cages, guarding and marine environments. Toronto Wildlife Centre is a community of people who care about wildlife and spend numerous hours helping wildlife in urban and rural areas. The first location opened in Toronto in March 1993 and quickly grew to become one of the busiest wildlife centres in the world. TWC operates almost entirely on donations and have worked with over 300 species of wildlife since opening. They have a hospital on site and once an animal has been rescued and treated, they need a safe place to recover before being released back into the wild. We had a chance to visit Toronto Wildlife Centre and see some of the recovery cages that uses our weldmesh. We have supplied various products to the wildlife and animal control industry: ½” x ½” and 1” x 1” black PVC weldmesh, ¼” x ¼” and ½” x ½”re-galvanized hardware cloth, ½” x ½”, ¾” x ¾” and 1” x 1” galvanized after welding (GAW) and 1” x 1” galvanized before welding (GBW) rolls of mesh to name a few. Ferrier Wire + Design Metals Doppio

A customer requested this custom weave pattern for use as a design element in an upscale dentist office in Oakville. Flat screen TV’s will be mounted to the mesh above dentist chairs for patients viewing enjoyment. We offer a variety of Doppio options woven from aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, galvanized, mild steel and stainless steel wire. Spacing options range from 1/2″ to 1-1/2″, custom rectangular options are also available.
